2017 Christmas Party!
This was the second year the Hudson family, owners of local ServiceMaster 24 Hour, has thrown a Christmas party for the children at Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches-Bradenton campus. Both years we’ve had an amazing turnout on gift donations with the help of our employees, friends and clients. For a month we drive around and pick up gifts, books, toys, pajamas that various insurance agencies throughout Tampa Bay have donated. ServiceMaster 24 Hour’s owner and his family get together and plan a great day for the children who wouldn’t normally be able to celebrate Christmas like most children are able to. Some of the activities included: face painting, a photo booth, ornament crafts, pizza and ice cream sundaes and opening gifts. We look forward to making this an annual party for the Bradenton campus!
Hurricane Harvey – 2017
Hurricane Harvey was a category 4 hurricane that made landfall in Houston on August 25th, 2017 and caused catastrophic flooding. Some areas received over 40 inches of rain and many, many homes and businesses were ruined. As devastating as this was, Texas along with people across the nation came together to start the restoration and rebuild of Houston. ServiceMaster 24 Hour of Tampa Bay has also reached out and has dispatched a crew up in Houston and continues to work as a team to bring the people of Houston back to normalcy.
P&C on the Sea Fishing Charter
ServiceMaster along with 3 other companies came together to host our 1st annual P&C Fishing Charter where all proceeds benefited the Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches. On May 19th 2017, 100 fishermen and women got together at Hubbard’s Marina in Johns Pass to go out to sea and afterwards even more guests joined us at our fish fry next door at Friendly Fisherman. We had a lot of giveaways, raffle prizes, and silent auctions along with music, dancing, and food and drink. Although the event itself was extremely successful, the end result was even better. ServiceMaster along with our trusted partners were able to present the Florida Sheriff Youth Ranches a check of $8,319.86! We raised so much more money than what we were hoping and we can’t wait to see what happens for P&C on the Sea in the following years!
If you are unfamiliar with the Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches, it is an amazing organization where there main focus is to develop young men and women and set them on the right path. Special thanks to Enterprise, ServiceKing Collision, and Safelite AutoGlass! And a very special thanks to all of our ServiceMaster employees who stood up to make the event and ultimately the end result successful: Courtney Brown, Mike Clayton, Maura Wolf, Toni Hudson, Caylee Hudson, and Scott Hudson!
